Paper:
The CO2 laser wavelength can be well absorbed by the paper as well. Laser cutting of paper results in a clean cutting edge with minimal discoloration, Laser engraving of paper will produce an indelible surface mark with no depth, engraving color can be black, brown, light brown depending on different paper’s density, less density means more oxidized and with a darker color, the lighter or darker color also depends on the material processed(power, speed, air blow..)
Paper-based materials such as bond paper, construction paper, cardboard, coated paper, copy paper, all can be engrave and cut by CO2 laser.
